Adam Hammacott is a Portsmouth-based photographer who has had a passion for the subject since a very young age. It is only in the last 5 years or so that his photography has been getting noticed and good critique being given, a serious career is beginning to develop for this very reason. Adam enjoys capturing landscapes, wildlife and still life images, selling them as wall art and canvas prints. He has more recently started undertaking weddings, event photography and portraiture, giving him further opportunities to expand his career and express himself in a different genre of photography and art.

Puppy:
This is one of my favourite images produced by Adam because of the personal element behind the image. This is a photograph of his pet puppy. I feel that photographing pets gives images a personal feel to the photographer and thus brings me to the conclusion of wanting to photograph my pets.
Close up photography usually shows subjects as larger than they are but because the grass is in focus in this image, it allows the viewer to see just how small it is.

Swan:
This unique image is intense because of the rarity of being able to shoot this kind of animal in this much detail.
My favourite part about this image is the detail within the feathers arond the swan's neck.
The centre of interest within this image for the viewer is the beak. The contrast between the orange colour and the blue water

Closed Butterfly:
The vibrant colours and and the extreme macro detail are the elements that make this image special.
The centre of interest within this image is on the butterfly and flowers that are in focus in the foreground of this image.

Open Butterfly:
The vibrant colours and and the extreme macro detail are the elements that make this image special.
The centre of interest is on the butterfly and the flowers in the foreground. This focal point alongside the contrast of the vibrant green background colour represents the realism within the image. Images like this one are striking because they are not something you'd usually see with the naked eye, especially in this much detail.
